Front-end Developer (full time)

based in Sri Lanka

Studio Côte is a boutique hospitality concept, design, and communications studio working with independent hotels, villas, and design-forward stays across Sri Lanka and beyond.

We shape calm, considered digital experiences—from hotel websites to booking journeys—with a strong sense of place.

We’re looking for a front-end developer to join our small, hands-on team.

You’ll be responsible for building, refining, and coding front-end elements across our hospitality client projects. This includes hotel websites, booking engines, and custom interactions that elevate the guest experience online.

You’ll work closely with our founder to translate concepts into clean, functional, and well-structured code.

What you'll be doing:

  • Developing and customising front-end elements for hospitality websites

  • Working with booking engines and third-party integrations (e.g. booking systems, widgets, forms)

  • Implementing responsive layouts and mobile-first solutions

  • Writing clean, efficient HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

  • Troubleshooting layout, performance, and cross-device issues

  • Collaborating closely with designers to maintain visual and UX integrity

  • Improving existing sites through thoughtful refinements rather than over-engineering

What we're looking for:

  • Strong front-end development skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript required)

  • Experience working with CMS platforms (Squarespace, WordPress, or similar)

  • A good eye for layout, spacing, typography, and interaction

  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks

  • Clear communication and reliability

  • Interest in hospitality, design, and user experience is a big plus

How we work:

  • Small, focused team

  • Calm pace, high standards

  • Quality over volume

  • Remote-friendly

  • Long-term mindset—we’re building relationships, not just websites

To apply, please send the following to charline(@)studiocote.co :

  • A short introduction about yourself

  • Links to websites or projects you’ve worked on

  • Your availability and preferred working setup (freelance / part-time / full-time)
