( studio ) côte
Côte is a concept, design, and communications studio rooted in the belief that hospitality should reflect, respect, and support the place it belongs to. We partner with boutique hotels, villas, and guesthouses to define concepts, shape guest experiences, and build brands that feel grounded, intentional, and alive.
Our work is guided by the principles of place-based hospitality—a way of thinking that sees destinations not as commodities, but as living systems shaped by their own rhythms, cultures, and communities.
We believe that thoughtful tourism can be a regenerative force: strengthening local identities, supporting livelihoods, and caring for both people and land.
Each project begins with listening—to the landscape, to the people, and to the stories already present. From there, we create design systems that feel natural to their environment: visual identities that speak softly, guest experiences that hold meaning, and communications that connect with clarity.
Charline Catteeuw
Founder & Director
With close to ten years of experience shaping hospitality businesses, Charline’s work is guided by the belief that design can be both beautiful and responsible. Her approach is reflective and rooted in context — informed by years of working closely with independent hotels, guesthouses, and emerging hospitality ventures.
She has witnessed firsthand how tourism shapes places over time, and how design can either deepen or dilute a sense of belonging. Studio Côte grew from that awareness — from a desire to build hospitality concepts that give back more than they take, and to help owners create places that honour both guest and host, people and place.
